THE AVP2 MOD MANAGER SIMPLE SETUP USE IT WITH YOUR UMP2 MAPPACK and Other Mods and mappacks,,sound packs,,skin packs ETC using this program it will bypass the CD 1 --you dontt need the CD! )) really nice if you want to get gaming fast instead of looking for that game disc 1 also you don't need a virtual disc or anything. If the Mod manager wont work after you installed it ,,you need microsoft NETFRAMEWORK 1.1 download it from microsofT {{{Remember if you have no CUSTOM FOLDER MAKE ONE }}} if I can remember the program setups one for you but check after to make sure. put all your maps and mods,,skin packs in the custom folder {{ONLY REZ FILES)) go in custom folder custom folder is located here programs \ FOX \ alien vs predator 2\custom ((Remember custom folder goes in main folder of the game))) The Mod manager will also READ BY DEFAULT -rez maps so if you have ump2 now you can rename your UMP2 FOLDER to MAPS ---THIS IS NOT A REZ FOLDER OR FILE---but still works with program AVP2 Command Line type in -rez maps and now only use your Mod Manger Program . also make a shortcut to desktop click start ,,program avp2 Mod manager send to desk top but I think the program does that.on installation Your ready to play Command Line NOT USEING A MOD maps/ skins MANAGER??? useing the command line ?
add to the command line -rez custom\dm_blank.rez or any map your running if its a rez file and any mappack and maps your trying will look like this -rez ump2 -rez custom\dm_blank.rez -rez custom\dm_whatever.rez ,,,the name of map goes there and the custom is the name of the folder,,, put all the dm_blank.rez or dm_whatever.rez maps in the custom maps folder after you unzipped them. EXTRACTING FILES FROM REZ you can extract all the folders or files from the rez file useing black angels free program called winrez LT Right Click with mouse its simply enough to figure how it works insert or extract.
